Synopsis

Mahomandalia begins with a promise: two boys, Athi and Aiden, vow to return a lost elephant calf—Gajane—to his family. But the river answers with a myth older than memory. When a crocodile spirits Athi into an underwater stronghold and demands a price for his return, Aiden's path splits from his friend's. Guided by courage and an unlikely ally—Nahebi, a fearless girl with mysteries of her own—Aiden ascends through living "flowers" and nerve-paths within a colossal, world-sized body, solving trials of mind and heart. Word games, reverse fairy-tale temptations, and perilous puzzles test one lesson again and again: Truth isn't just the right answer—it is the only bridge forward.

As Athi endures the depths with the ancient crocodile "Al," Aiden, Nahebi, and Gajane pursue the Sunrise Ruby and build a bridge where none exists. They learn that calm, compassion, and integrity can turn fear into passage. Their journeys entwine—deep underground and over gorges—until promises are kept, sight is restored, and the hardest choices are made in the open.

Mahomandalia is a tale of friendship and wonder—where courage shapes destiny, deception falls away, and the unwavering light of truth — powerful, eternal — becomes the force no darkness can overcome.

About the Author

G. S. Lakshmi believes that stories are bridges between hearts and worlds. Holding a degree in Biochemistry, she has long been fascinated by the human body — especially the vast, untapped potential of the human brain. That curiosity helped shape the magical world (mandal) of Mahomandalia, a realm where imagination meets inner science.

Mahomandalia begins with a simple act of compassion toward a small creature, but it unfolds into a mystical journey that mirrors the pathways within the human mind. Lakshmi believes the mind can unlock extraordinary possibilities when guided by truth. Through this story, she invites readers to wonder: what if the pathways within us could lead to worlds beyond us? What if integrity could open doors no map could ever show?

Author's Vision

Lakshmi hopes to inspire young readers to look beyond success measured in possessions and instead discover success through truth, compassion, and courage. Her writing is guided by a belief that truth is strength and ego is weakness — a lesson reflected throughout Mahomandalia.

She wrote this story for the next generation — to remind them that living truthfully, acting with kindness, and walking the path of integrity are the real measures of success. Love, empathy, and character, she believes, are far greater treasures than wealth, fame, or pride.
